Join us this Saturday, 7 November, for our penultimate community litter pick of the year. We have moved the event to avoid Remembrance Sunday and hope you can join us for a positive and purposeful morning in Mile End Park.

Help ensure Mile End Park remains clean and welcoming as autumn draws to a close. Whether you’ve attended every event or are joining for the first time, your contribution will be greatly appreciated.

Volunteering offers a chance to enjoy fresh air, gentle exercise, community connection, and the satisfaction of giving something back. It is also a great opportunity to meet neighbours and help care for our shared local space. Even if you can’t join us do say “Hi” if you see us litter picking away.

This Saturday we likely won’t have many picnics to clear up – more likely spent fireworks and the ubiquitous NOX bottles.

Autumn wildlife can be surprisingly rewarding. Look out for robins, blackbirds, great tits, blue tits, gulls, cormorants, coots, moorhens, herons, parakeets and the ever-present squirrels that bring life to the park as the seasons change.
