Why not join us this Sunday 8th February to help litter-pick Mile End Park?
This Sunday, the 8th February, is our monthly litter pick. As well as the distractingly colourful abandoned drinks cans, vapes and fast-gas canisters, we will have a chance to enjoy the clumps of flowering snowdrops, crocuses, and winter aconites. If you’re more into fauna than flora then you might get lucky and see the two Kingfishers that have been spotted regularly hanging out at the Eco Pond.
After a little sweep of Chris’ Wood, we will be heading north of the Art Pavilion on the canalside to Wellington Green/Bow Wharf, before heading back down the east side of the park. There’s the THAT Network Annual Art Exhibition on at the Art Pavilion and so there is a chance to pop in and look at that, and we’ll also be grabbing some cake and refreshments at the Coffee Room.
We’ll be going out whatever the weather.
