As summer continues, Mile End Park welcomes thousands of visitors. Help us keep it clean, attractive, and safe by joining our August litter pick.
Litter picking is a practical way to support biodiversity, reduce pollution, and demonstrate community pride. Volunteers often say they enjoy seeing immediate results and feeling part of something bigger than themselves.
August offers excellent opportunities to observe local wildlife. Keep watch for moorhens, coots, and herons along the Regents Canal and in the Eco and Art ponds. Bees, butterflies, and dragonflies remain active during this warm weather, while squirrels are often easy to spot.
When: This Sunday 9th August. 10-12
Where: Meeting by the Art Pavilion, Clinton Road
What to bring: Equipment provided, but a sun hat would be useful!
