Back in April you may remember the Old Ford Bow Festival hosted over two days at the Ecology Pavilion. We had a stall at the event and signed up ~55 members, but more importantly we had a great time seeing some great paintings, photos and generally enjoying ourselves.

Linked to the festival was the launch of a new book “Tales of Old Ford, Bow” written by local author Carolyn Clark. It is a collection of stories from local people and includes lots of great photos. We’ve had a few emails asking where to buy a copy, and are delighted to let you know it is available locally on the Roman from Bard Books and Snap or online: http://www.shoreditchtales.com.

Carolyn will be chatting with Alan Dein about the book at this month’s “Reading East London” a new monthly book club at Brick Lane Bookshop on the 8th July (7PM, £6 admission, link to buy tickets online).
