Join the Geezers for a weekend filled with history, fun and entertainment at the Old Ford, Bow Festival! This exciting event will be held at The Ecology Pavilion Mile End Park, (Between Roman Road & Haverfield Road). Get ready to enjoy finding out about the history of the area, the Geezers pub games, Carrom, art workshops, live performances, East End WI tea stall, stalls and more for all ages.
The festival explores the history of where we live and the threads connecting the past with the present through a photography project recreating scenes from the past called ‘Roman Road Faces’, made possible by National Lottery players and Clarion. The project’s findings will be showcased at this free community festival. The event will also launch a local history map, which will be free at the event, and a new book, ‘Tales of Old Ford, Bow’.
