The cold-weather Litter Pick Squad in Mile End PArk

Why not join us this Sunday 9th February to help litter-pick Mile End Park?

This Sunday, the 9th February, is our monthly litter pick. Why not pop along for an hour or so? Last month’s litter pick was an amazingly crisp morning which everyone seemed to find particularly enjoyable. It was bright and sunny (and cold. I’m not gonna lie!).

Key Information
Where: We meet by the Art Pavilion at 10am and are all done by midday (though you can leave earlier obviously).
Equipment: Litter picks, collection hoops and bags are supplied. Dress for the weather.
The After Party: At The Coffee Room for some well-deserved drinks and cakes.

After a little sweep of Chris’ Wood, we will be heading north of the Art Pavilion on the canalside to Wellington Green/Bow Wharf, before heading back down the east side of the park. On the way back we’ll take a moment to see how the thousands of bulbs we planted in the “Climbing Wall Wood” are coming along. With every day more and more of the bulbs we planted in October/November are emerging. We’ve winter aconites and snowdrops starting to flower with daffs on the way.

We’ll be going out whatever the weather.
