This Sunday, the 13th October, is our monthly litter pick in Mile End Park. Please pop along and join us – you don’t have to stay the whole two hours, but if you do then I can promise a reward of cake and light refreshments.

The weather forecast is looking dry and sunny (fingers crossed it stays that way).

The leaves are starting to bronze with the cyclamen underneath putting on a good show. And the skeletons of hemlock stand bare apart from a morning coat of icy dew.

We’ll be heading north up towards Bow Wharf (on the canalside) and then coming back down the Grove Road side.

Time: 10-12 noon
Location: Meet by the Art Pavilion (behind the Grove Road Texaco garage)
