Bluebells in Chris' Wood, Mile End Park

This month for our litter pick we are heading NORTH, starting up towards Bow Wharf on the Canal side side of the park, and then come back down the east side of the park by Grove Road, finishing up with a sweep around the Art Pavilion and Chris’ Wood.

The weather forecast is looking fine, but we go out whatever the weather.

They’ll be plenty to see, as the park has come on rapidly over the last couple of weeks. The bluebells we planted in October are starting to bloom. There’s a few winter aconites still in flower and wild garlic too, with honesty flowers dotted about. And the cherry blossom is looking mighty damm fine. There are a couple of other surprises, but you’ll have to come and see what I mean!

Afterwards most of us will pop to The Coffee Room for a coffee, some cake and a chat.

Location: Meet by the Art Pavilion
Time: 10-12
What to wear: Keep an eye on the forecast, but in any case sturdy boots/trainers are always worth wearing.
