This Sunday, the 8th October, is our monthly litter pick in Mile End Park. Please pop along and join us – you don’t have to stay the whole two hours, but if you do then I can promise a reward of cake and light refreshments.

During the recent rubbish collection and street cleaner strike we were lucky that the park was looked after by the council’s Green Team. Whilst the bins were regularly emptied, I did notice areas such as Chris’ Wood were looking in a pretty bad way in terms of litter and general rubbish.

We’ll be heading north up towards Bow Wharf (on the canalside) and then coming back down the Grove Road side.

Time: 10-12 noon
Location: Meet by the Art Pavilion (behind the Grove Road Texaco garage)
