It is our second litter-pick of 2022 this Sunday from 10-12. It will be good to see our regulars and new faces are always welcome too. We provide litter pickers, gloves, refuse bags and litter hoops.

We’ll start by heading south through Chris’ Wood, then do a right and then head north past the Art Pavilion, up towards Bow Wharf on the canal side of the park, and then come back down the east side of the park, finishing up by the Art Pavilion to put our kit away.

We can’t promise red roses, but there are plenty of snowdrops in Chris’ Wood and they are in their prime at the moment. Kingfishers have also been spotted recently near the Ecology Pond.

Afterwards we usually pop to The Coffee Room for a coffee, some cake and a chat.

What to wear: There be nettles and brambles in those woods and unmentionables under foot. So long trousers, but no thongs [flip flops]

COVID Precautions for Sunday

• Please don’t come if you have cold/flu-like symptoms (sorry 😒)
• If you can, please do a LFT before coming
• Masks are optional (it will keep your face warm though!)
• We are outdoors and will be spaced out [distance-wise] too, which dramatically reduces any risk
