Please Note: As this Sunday is Remembrance Sunday we will begin our litter-pick at 11am by observing the national minute’s silence.

It has been a busy month for volunteers in the park: Mile End Park’s team of rangers have had numerous “corporate volunteers” working mainly in the south of the park planting daffs and cutting back brambles; whilst in the north the Friends have been busy clearing nettles and brambles from Chris’ Wood and then planting thousands of spring bulbs.

This Sunday we return to the “day job” of litter-picking in the park. The post Bonfire night litter-pick usually produces a substantial haul of firework remnants, but let’s see. One thing for sure is the autumnal colours will likely be at their peak.

I do hope you can join us.

Date and Time: Sunday 14th November 2021; 11-1pm
Location: Meet by the Art Pavilion, behind Grove Road’s Texaco Garage
Duration: Approximately two hours, though join for as long/little as you can. We usually go for coffee and refreshments at The Coffee Room afterwards.
