Volunteer Bulb Planters Group Photo

Many thanks to the 20 or so who helped out last weekend planting just over 5,000 snowdrops, wild garlic and lots of wild primrose plugs in Chris’ Wood next to the Art Pavilion. We really did dig deep towards the end.

Tomorrow, Saturday, we hope to get the last of the wild garlic bulbs planted (around 1500?). Please do pop along if you can from 1PM. We’ll meet by the green shipping containers near the Art Pavilion. If you can’t see us then we will just be around the corner in Chris Wood. (That’s the wood between the Art Pavilion and the Green Bridge) just a minute away.

We have plenty of thick gloves and bulb planters, but I’d recommend bringing something to kneel on if you can. Also if you have your own trowel and/or a spade/fork it would be useful.

Last week it worked well with folk popping along at different times. So please do come along any time after 1pm.

Some great chats were had and new friendships made. (Apologies for blurry photo guys!)
We accidently woke up a toad that had bedded down for winter a few inches underground.
